Becky shared with me the story of a devastating loss she suffered, and how Tuttu has helped her through. Tuttu is short for tuttugu, which means 20 in Icelandic! He was a present for Becky and her husband's 20th anniversary. Meeting Becky and Tuttu (who is, without doubt, the best boy in the world!) was one of the sweetest and most moving "100 strangers" that I've done.

Gordon complimented me on my camera as I walked by. He is a journalist and photographer for an amazing newspaper, Street Sense, in DC. They cover the lives of people experiencing homelessness and advocate for them, too. Their goal is to end homelessness in the area. I admire that kind of creative, social justice work so much!
