Adelle saw me with my camera and joked, "I'm ready for my closeup!" Then she was so friendly when I actually asked her if I could take her picture. Her dogs are Cupcake and Gulliver, and it was such a pleasure meeting them!
Mike and Gareth were practicing Japanese-style fencing (with wooden swords) in the park. They kindly let me photograph their awesome swordplay--I thought I was watching an Akira Kurosawa film! They belong to a local aikido society.
Beverly has a PhD and taught social work for many years. She's now retired and lives near her daughter. They go for a walk together every day. . . . I love how you can see people's beautiful smiles--in their eyes--even when they're masked!
