From left: Jolene, Steve, Needles! Even at the amateur level, photography can connect you with wonderful people and moving stories! Steve told me that he inherited Needles from a neighbor who died of dementia. Needles was very depressed, but she fell in love with Jolene, and the two have been inseparable ever since. So sweet and moving!
Miguel (left) saw me taking pictures of a church, and then he just wanted me to take his photo! Then his coworker, Alejandro, joined in. They were making a delivery. Such friendly guys!
I asked David if he was getting any good shots. He told me about a prize he won for a photo of a nearby historical landmark! David strikes me as the kind of photographer who is never without his camera--and I admire that!
